The first of many trips this month!!

Up state NY!
Justice found us a great deal on a hotel up state that was the perfect get away for our right out of school and needing to get away hankerings! Justice finished his test on the last Friday in May which led right in to Memorial day weekend. We had a great time spending the day with friends; Rachel asked me to run a race with her on the boardwalk... and I did it!!!
She assured me that we could walk parts of it as needed and after the first 1/2 mile I swore I was done and sure I would die... but she kept me going and by the mile mark I was doing pretty good again. Rachel thankfully kept a good pace, me I hear Run and I'm all out gung ho push it to the max right off the bat, no more then 2 minute race, before this type of person. It just never occurred to me to save something for the miles to come. She was a great support and with her we finished our 4 MILES!!!! I was feeling so good for the last mile it was great! I totally was ready to keep going. And now we have gotten it into our heads that we(Justice and I) could train for and run a marathon, Thanks a lot all you NY friends who make it seem so doable! we shall see ;)
After the race we rushed to the lamest parade ever! yep note to self and all others Memorial day parade in Staten Island is rather boring especially for children who just want some candy or to see big pretty floats, But the highlight was seeing the Rasmussen's in it and getting to wave to them :) We went for a lovely BBQ at the Rassmussen's after and had a great time visiting with friends.
And then came tuesday and we were out of here! There was the perfect hotel with a built in water park that Izaac LOVED and CoraLynn tolerated.
This was the toddler/kids section. Izaac was in heaven!! this is just the middle of the park there was also a young toddler part three other big people water slides and a river to float a tube in.

After going a few times with Daddy Izaac braved everything on his own, there were about three water slides that were in this section and he did all of them like a pro!
Cora on the other hand was not in the least impressed with things splashing and crashing all around her She loves to swim but wasn't too sure with all the things spraying her. So she being a bit time mamma's girl, stuck to me not allowing me to play as much as I would have liked to, oh well what can ya do, I took pictures!
Near the end she did find a cute little girl about the same age as her and the two of them just followed each other around the smallest wading pool smiling at each other, they were pretty cute!

Feets!
There was a big bucket that dumps water on you every so often that my kids were terrified of. The coming of the dump was marked by a dinging sound that got faster as it got closer and my kids would scream with terror when ever it started to ding, this is a picture of Justice and Izaac getting splashed by the bucket and Cora's scared look. Near the end we had worked up to just being o.k. with the big whooshing sound of the bucket even though they didn't like it at all.
They also had a Johnny Rockets in the hotel that we stopped by one night to enjoy a decadent ice cream sundae!
Notice Justice's sweet shirt that Izaac and I, mostly I, picked out!! pretty sweet Eh!!!
