More pictures of Cora (I know ya all wanna see more)

We have to bathe Cora in a blanket so she doesn't get too cold. We won't have to do this at home though because she will be able to regulate her temperature better. It is funny you are supposed to take one limb out at a time and wash it then cover her back up again. The first time I gave her a bath she pooped and I had to work around that in the towel too, oh well.
Cora is doing wonderfully and is probably the helthiest person in ou family at the moment as we are all fighting colds right now and trying to get better before she comes home.
She is out of her incubator and doing find so we think that she will be home before the middle of next week. The doctors and nurses never give us a definate date but we know the end is near!

Izaac vs. Cora

Here is the side by side comparison of my children. It think it is so funny how much they look alike. Now I am trying to picture what a girl virsion of Izaac would look like to imagine how Cora will look at his age!

CoraLynn Day 4

Cora is now off her IV and now just needs to learn to eat on her own and to gain some weight.
They are trying to get her used to eating from a bottle, she takes it sometimes but not for very long.

Izaac Comes To Visit :)

We Intorduced Izaac to Cora today. I'm not sure what he thought of her. I don't think that he will comprehend that she is his sister for awhile now.
He wanted to touch her though, he also wanted to pull on all those wires stuck to her.
He was funny at the hospital, he loved exploring moms room and checking out all of the drawers and things, and eating all of the snacks in the room. It will be fun to have Cora home so Izaac can really get used to her.

Update on Cora

Cora has progressed a lot throughout the day. She still had that oxygen mask on to start the day but soon they took it off!! we can finally see her face! her nostrals look huge though from having things shoved up them.
the next thing to come out was her IV in her umbilical cord. it is now in her hand as you can see in the last picture.

CoraLynn's Fathers day Present... Herself!!

Well this has been a crazy day!!! I still can’t believe that I am no longer pregnant and that we have a daughter!! I woke up with contractions around 6am and we decided that since they weren’t going away we would go into the hospital and hopefully hey would give me something to make them stop… well we got to the Hospital around 8:30 and at 9:07 Cora made her Debut!! They had to take her right away to the new born intensive care. We have yet to hold her but will hopefully be able to in the next few days as she gets fewer tubes sticking out of her. He will most likely be in the hospital for a few weeks. It is so weird to have a baby that you can’t hold and you know you won’t be taking with you when I go home fro a little while. I suppose it is good though it gives us a little time to get ready for her, at 6 weeks early we weren’t quite expecting her. It is still weird for me to think about. I guess it will sink in eventually! I am going to go and visit her in a minute or two. I know that these aren’t the best pictures but for now it’s all we have! Tomorrow we will get to introduce Izaac to his new sister!! I am really excited for that, he came to see me today but we didn’t take him in to see her yet. Any way it will be fun to see how he reacts.
Thank you to all for your prayers on our behalf; this is a crazy time for us, good but crazy! We really appreciate all you do.
And I’ll try to keep everyone up to date!!!

Izaac's first trip to the splash park!!

Daddy and Izaac playing in the water

The real Izaac that the other pictures didn't show, he was actually crying most of the time.
he really liked being wraped up in his blanket after to get warm before going home!

O.k. so we finally had a beautiful Saturday so, Justice and I ignored our school duties and took Izaac for a walk to porter park so he could play in the water. The only problem was that he is teething and was miserable the entire time. I have been dying to take him to the splash park since last year but it he was too little to care then and this year has been freakishly cold so today was our chance and we took it no matter what!
Izaac who normally loves anything water wanted nothing to do with it. Daddy had to get down and hold him for Izaac to stop crying long enough for him to like the water. There were a lot of other kids there and it may have been overwhelming for him, I guess we will try another day when it’s not so busy and he is not teething. By the way he is getting a mouthful all at once. He spent two miserable months getting four on his left side, one molar and one eye tooth top and bottom. I guess the right side is deciding to catch up because it has all started again and he is in a lot of pain, poor babe. Hopefully they will pop through soon and he can get back to being his wonderful self!

McDonald's!

It has been so cold and windy out that we wanted to get away from it all... by going to McDonald's. This was Izaac's first experience with the play place and a happy meal.

Eatin his chicken nuggets.

Izaac finally got the hang of drinking out of his juice box!

Izaac's Blanket

This is Izaac's favorite blanket, made by Aunt Krisann. It is funny to me that he attached himself to it, I didn't think that he would get into the whole stuffed animal blanket thing but he just can't be without his blanket. Justice is a little discouraged that Izaac's fave is a pink giraffe blanket, he keeps trying to substitute other, more manly, blankets but Izaac is persistent in his wants!
