Christmas time 2013

Christmas time last year (2013) was our first without any snow, like not even in the months prior. We did still have to wear our jackets and it was chilly but not freezing. We went to the http://www.christmasfestival.com in Natchitoches. If you are familiar with the movie "Steal Magnolias" this is the town it was set in and they go to the festival. 

This was our first Louisiana parade and we were all thrilled with how many treasures they threw. Necklaces!! (lots of Necklaces) cups, balls, toys, and of course candy. It was so fun, Izaac could badly walk with all the beads he was sporting. We hung around town after the parade to see the festival of lights and firework show. at the end as we were walking around after they had machines spitting out fluffy white stuff. It looked like snow but upon closer examination it was actually foam. They tried at least ;)

I have been thinking a lot about this here blog lately and how I have missed updating things here and there. Then I actually went on here and realized I have missed an entire kid! as well as our move from NY to LA.
Obviously there is way too much to go back now but I will repent and start anew.
Here we are in Fort Polk Louisiana and have been for the past year. Justice graduated Dental School and we have started our time in the Army. We have really enjoyed the "arm pit" of the army so far and as we see it you might as well start low and rise from there right?? I am absolutely loving the warm weather, the people with their southern charm, and our fabulous ward family here. Justice enjoys his work at Shira dental clinic on post and misses snow.
My Ava girl just turned three yesterday. She will tell you that she is four though. She is such a doll and we can't help but smile at all her crazy antics. She is almost always dancing, smiling, and laughing. and even when she does get upset we can quickly fix it with a song from Daniel Tiger (What would we do without that tiger teaching me how to parent?)

I am limiting myself as I know I will have to write up our family letter soon and can't give too much away, Sorry I know disappointment abounds.
