Izaac's 3rd Birthday!!!

Well Izaac has been excited for his birthday for some time now, and so have I. I really wanted to do a real party seeing as we kind of coped out last year what with moving and all. Izaac loves two things, cooking, and tools. So we went with the second one and had a construction party!
I had hardhats and vests for each of the kids laid out ready to go, unfortunately most of them wanted nothing to do with it :( I think they were all slightly overwhelmed by the noise of and the long dark hall way that they had to come through to get to the party, I managed to convince some of them that it was the cool thing to do, eventually.
Izaac and his new bike!
Waiting and waiting for all the kids to come!

Izaac's dirt cake! He was great he waited for everyone to sing him Happy Birthday then went right for blowing out that candle!
Shout out to Josh and Cora who were the only ones to wear their vests the majority of the time! I thought they were cool anyway!
Trying to get a group shot!
I had planned all kinds of games and things for the kids but when they got there I realized that when you are three you just want to play... and so they did!
Lots of help opening presents :)
Ellie singing Izaac a personal song of Happy Birthday!
She had a whole dance and everything but all Izaac did was stare!

Easter 2010!

Ward Party
We had a lovely breakfast and Easter egg hunt put on by our ward a week or two ago. The kids and I got to enjoy it, but unfortunately Justice had to miss because he was studying. Boo-urns!
I think that this was the kids first egg hunt. Izaac loved finding the eggs, opening them, dumping the candy into his basket, and then throwing the plastic egg back into the grass! (sorry to all those who found his secondhand eggs!) Cora slowly got the hang of it too and had fun putting things in her basket!
Izaac and Ellie

March 29th Justice's 27th Birthday!!!
Well Justice had to study most of the day so we decided to just do brownies at home, which Izaac helped me make and decorate. Izaac had been looking forward to puting the candles in the cake all day long but when the time came he was slightly emotional! (having not napped the whole day) He screamed through the entire "Happy Birthday" song and Cora kept blowing out the candles so all in all it was a ... nice?... birthday for him...I think... maybe. I hope next year will be better, maybe something without the kids!

Easter Sunday!
I told Izaac about the Easter Bunny and how he would leave us some eggs in the morning in our back yard that we would get to find and he seemed good with this idea. He was really excited about having a bunny come to our house, maybe I should have emphasized that he wouldn't actually see the bunny because he was slightly upset when the bunny had left. "Mom I wanted to talk to him!" Sorry buddy maybe next year!
I had made cardboard eggs to put in our backyard to hide the eggs behind but the morning was really foggy, like sitting in a cloud. We put everything out and then got the kids and by the time we made it down stairs they were starting to look a little soggy! luckily my babes didn't notice and were just as excited to find things in the backyard.

Copy cat!

Cora is my little copy cat, She will do everything Izaac does with precision. He jumps, she jumps; he runs, she runs; he coughs, she coughs; he falls down, she falls down... and you get the picture:)
we had Alaina over yesterday and i happened to catch it on camera!

Whatch ya doin Laina?? o.k. hands up!

watching and then oh!... wait heads down now...

Laina is looking this way and Now we are dancing!
We are hoping someday Cora will get a mind of her own and not have to copy others all the time, but for now we think it is pretty funny to watch her and I am sure she is learning all kinds of things from her big Bro and her friends!

Date Night!

For our Friday Night date Justice and I decided to walk the Brooklyn bridge. It was a beautiful night and we made good time driving through the city so what more can you ask for?? You know besides world famous Pizza, well we had that too!

Looking at this picture you may be thinking aww... that is nice, Ali in a regular old pizza restaurant with an nice old man in the background... Not!!! This my friends is the Famous Grimaldi's pizza right under the Brooklyn Bridge that we waited an hour in line just to enter in to.
(It wasn't so bad really because they had a really good Ice cream place just down the block and I sent justice after some cones while I held our place in line, nothing like ice cream before world famous pizza right!)
any way as you get closer to the door this old guy comes out and points at you and says (in a cool rough italian voice)"how many??" then pointing down the line "you??" and so on, then turns around slamming the door behind him.
As we neared the Velvet rope we anticipated the moment we would hear that gruff voice say to us "you, come in."
Justice was sure that he was a mafia boss and that the Pizza thing was just a cover, "there is no way that it was just coincidence that the location was right by the river" he said
He just had to take a picture of the guy and I was just the cover to do it. :)
It was funny he would just say things and people would do them without question. there were three girls seated and about to start eating, with empty tables on both sides. He walked over and had them move down to the end of the row so he could seat a larger party.
they didn't question much just moved.
well mafia boss or not he finally did give us a seat in the crowded restaurant at a long table divided into sections.
Justice was in his element so excited to be tasting the best ever, coal fired, pizza in the city!
I thought it was o.k. but he is still ranting and raving about how amazing it was. We bought another one to take home, heck we waited in line for an hour we better be getting more then one out of it, and justice had it for breakfast and lunch the next day!

so for all you non New yorkers these are the kinds of experiences you are missing out on by not visiting us! (Any takers??)
Just a reminder that we love company!

More pictures of US!!!

New Hair!
My friend Rachel did my hair for me, I just let her go to and was excited with the results! I have never been this light before so It was nice for a change.

Co-op kid's relaxing after going crazy for awhile! :)
Our ward had a Cake auction to raise money for the YM/YM to go to camp this year. I made the Hamburger ones one big one and a few little ones (the little ones were much cuter!). We had a small budget but were so excited to take home this beauty made by Ryan Allen! it is the Nauvoo temple... at night! It was sooo good and we did our best to eat all of it but I think the cake won on this one and after a few days we only made it about 2/3 of the way through. Looking at the pictures makes me want some more though!

My valentines cookies from Justice!
Cora not wanting to share at playgroup.

Painting just for fun!

We went to the Bronx Zoo over Justice's spring brake, with some friends. It was a chillier day but we still had a lot of fun. When we stopped for lunch there were peacocks everywhere! Justice started to feed them and Izaac followed suit. I was amazed at how brave he was. He later traded families and joined the Donovan's table with their chicken Nuggets and Pizza leaving us and our PB&J.

Playing at Clove road park
Izaac really wanted to put the acorn's back on the trees.

Up to something!

I absolutely love shadow pictures, and Cora pointing out the birds.

February Eh??... um... I mean March!

Wow how the time flies! So what have we been doing?? I have no idea but I guess it has been passing the time!
I guess the big things are that We went to KY for Magan's baptism and Drayden's blessing. My parents and both Grandmothers and Adrien were all there as well so we hung out in a hotel most of the time and got to play with Ash and the kids. I of course couldn't find the charger for my camera and am left with no pictures :( I'll have to get some from mom or Ash.
Another big thing that has been keeping me busy is My new calling in the Young Women's it has been a lot of fun to get to know the youth of our ward (there are about 4-8 active YM/YW) they sure have a different life then when I was in YW/High school! the funniest experience was probably right after I got home from KY and got to chaperon the youth dance in Manhattan. It was so funny to be the old one! My girls even let me dance with them! Mary even said I was the best one out there HA! still got it! JKS. but it really was a lot of fun!
The kids and I have been having fun playing with new friends at playgroups, Co-op, and just playing. Izaac is starting to really enjoy playing with other kids and when I ask him what he wants to do in the morning he usually says.. well we could play with Merrick... or Josh... or... and so on.
The kids have been growing like crazy! humm.. kids seem to do that! Izaac is really starting to act like a 3yr old and can't wait for his birthday next month. He is very independent and usually says; "No, I do it myself!" He also gets really excited about things often exclaiming "Oh! That makes me so Happy!"
Cora Girl is our little parrot everything we do, Especially Izaac, she does also, even to the point of coughing or falling down. She Loves her big brother and he tolerates her well. Her favourite word lately is tickle! she thinks it is so funny to tickle people and even funnier to be tickled!

Well I tried to post some pictures with this post but it is not letting me so I guess those are to come! The kids are needing some attention now so I guess I'll just post what I have for now just so I can say I did!
